Howling Bells, Oran Mor Glasgow, Live and Promo Photos.

Just thought I would post some photos I took at the Howling Bells gig, on the 19th at the Oran Mor in Glasgow. The photos were for Is This Music Magazine, who were also interviewing Juanita before the show, which I got to go along to and take some shots for the feature. If you want to check them out, I've posted them at the end.

Here's the promo shots I took at the interview. If you want to check out the review and the interview on Is This Music, the link is, http://www.isthismusic.com/howling-bells-7

Taking Back Sunday, ABC Glasgow, Live Photos.

I went to pick up my photo pass at the door, and I have to admit I was totally nervous waiting for Taking Back Sunday to come onstage, even if I did only have about 5 minutes to think about it.

...and as you can see by the red coloured photo on the right, I was pretty close to the band...and that isn't even showing exactly how close I was either as my camera is full frame...so that was a tiny bit embarrassing when I looked over the camera and realised...

Please go see Taking Back Sunday live if you can, they are sensational.

August!

Obviously when there's no bands to photograph, the next best thing is photographing locations, and I've come across a couple of gorgeous places, and as you can probably guess, the photos you are looking at is one of the locations. Luckily when I found this Church, it became really sunny, and pretty much only for the amount of time I was photographing it, so I was mega happy about that, haha. However it was such a lovely site that I don't think any type of weather change would have made it look any less beautiful.

New Website Design!

The best thing about the new design is that the portfolio page is much more easy to navigate now, so please go have a look and check out the photos, I've added in a few different shots. http://www.nicolasharkeyphotography.com

Sons and Daughters, SWG3 Glasgow, Live and Promo Photos.

The show was in a warehouse venue called SWG3, which I genuinely think no-one had heard of before, but with the help of google maps we found out it was situated in the west end of Glasgow, which I personally adore. It was as you would imagine, a really cool venue to see the band perform in, and I hadn't actually seen Sons & Daughters live before, so overall it was a really good night.

I hope everyone enjoys the photos! There will definitely be more uploaded to Flickr, so go check it out. I'll leave you with one more shot below...
